Today we celebrated Skyler's 1st birthday! I cannot believe a year has already passed! It seems like just yesterday we were literally rushing and praying we would make it to the hospital in time. Skyler came into this world with a, "nothing's stopping me" type of attitude and he has not changed since! He goes full force into everything that he does! We had a great day playing with friends in the pool, going for a bike ride, playing at the park, playing in the pool some more, opening presents and down for a long nights sleep!!

In an effort to get out and stay busy last weekend some family friends invited us to go to the pool at RVR (otherwise members only) and Keagan was quite fascinated with the shooting water. Aaron and I also took a motorcycle ride over Independence Pass to Leadville for the day on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to get to spend the day with just the two of us!

It is always hard to say good-bye, especially to a loyal and true friend. Arthur has been very sick the last few weeks and instead of getting better he continued to decline. So yesterday we put him at peace and said our good-byes. Please remember Aaron in your prayers as he goes through this time. Thank you for your love and support.

Hello family and friends!

I am trying a new thing!!! I am not very faithful about keeping everyone updated with our family and little ones so I thought I would try creating our own website and update it weekly. At least that is my goal! So here is a recent picture of the boys and I will add the latest info and pictures to the site soon! This is just a trial run to see if I can actually do this!

Have a wonderful week!

Love to all,
Jenn

I thought I would give each of the boys their own update! Keagan is doing great. He loves to play outside and drive daddy's car! He has also learned quite a bit about the art of bargaining... If I tell him it is time to come in he yells, "Five more minutes!" To this I usually have to remind him that he has already been given 5 more minutes! He is such a joy and in constant motion! I am continually trying to find new ways to entertain him because he gets bored very easily and then the destruction sets in... He is going through all the typical "terrible twos" fits, yelling etc. We are trying to redirect those but anyone who has had a 2 year old knows how easy that is!! All in all he is a joy and I could not imagine life without him! :) Now if I can just get him to stay in bed at night...

Skyler is growing like crazy!!! He is only 4 pounds less than Keagan and about 5" shorter... We have nicknamed him "Sherman" after the tanks in WWII. He now has 6 teeth and eats more than I do. He is not walking yet but did make it up the stairs all by himself a couple of days ago. His first word was, "Uh-Oh" which is not overly encouraging for me. He is going to be our class clown. He loves to make faces at you until you smile or better yet laugh. He is such a sweet boy! We are doubly blessed with both of our boys!

We had a wonderful 4th of July! We went early down to Redstone (a small town about 15 miles from here) and enjoyed the cool morning by the river and at the playground. Aaron spent some time teaching Keagan what rocks are really for... Throwing in the river of course and now Keagan loves to throw rocks. Thanks Daddy!!! :) After our morning in Redstone we came home for a good solid nap (which neither boy took) and then headed to a picnic with our friends. The fireworks started a little after nine and Keagan was not sure what to think. He kept asking us to go home in the car and then proceeded to tell us all the colors he saw in the fireworks. Maybe next year he will enjoy them more. Skyler did great. He just sat in my lap and stared at the sky with sort of a blank expression. At this point he doesn't really know what fear is...
